While searching for a celestial book, Master Cui mistakenly released a treasure-gathering toad. The toad, captivated by human pleasures, reincarnated as Dou Zhanlong. To escape a heavenly tribulation, the toad split its three souls and seven spirits within Dou Zhanlong's spiritual aperture, creating nine incarnations that landed in nine different locations. These nine Dou Zhanlongs, existing in different parallel universes, died once and were replaced by another incarnation. They collectively endured "nine deaths and thirteen calamities."
